DIGITAL COMMERCE SUMMIT NORTHWEST CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL PREMIERE

After three years of preparation and uncertainty as to whether such an event could take place due to the coronavirus pandemic, the first “DIGITAL COMMERCE SUMMIT NORDWEST” took place last Thursday (5 May) at GVZ Bremen. With complete success!

L.I.T. UND CREDITREFORM BEGRÜßEN 150 GÄSTE Als Veranstalter konnten wir als L.I.T. Gruppe zusammen mit Creditreform rund 150 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer im L.I.T. Logistikzentrum (LLC) willkommen heißen.

Current trends, technologies and challenges in digital commerce were presented and discussed in twenty keynotes, discussion panels, best-practice examples and presentations of innovative services.

HOW DOES DIGITAL COMMERCE AFFECT LOGISTICS?
Our CEO Fokke Fels was represented on the opening panel together with Thimo Schulz, Managing Director of L.I.T. Lager & Logistik, and discussed how “typical” competitive relationships in digital commerce and especially in logistics could be overcome through new forms of cooperation.

Board member Simeon Breuer was asked to be a panellist on the future of eCommerce. How will it develop? What economic and social relevance will it have in the future? And are we actually prepared for this?

In addition to many interesting aspects, the first DCSN 2022 was particularly livened up by the great atmosphere at the L.I.T. Lager & Logistik site in the freight village (GVZ). Two food trucks and a cosy ambience of containers and lounge furniture invited visitors to linger and network in the best sunny weather. Another highlight was the guided tour of the AutoStore, our automated small parts warehouse.

At the end of the day, Thimo Schulz looked back on a successful summit: “For L.I.T., the DIGITAL COMMERCE SUMMIT NORDWEST was a complete success. We were very happy to host the event and were able to make some interesting contacts. I think that the Summit, with its topics and networking opportunities, has become a really interesting platform for companies in the logistics and eCommerce sectors and the starting signal for interesting co-operations.”
