CO2 EMISSIONS REDUCED BY MORE THAN 20 PERCENT!
L.I.T. AWARDED WITH THE LEAN AND GREEN 1st STAR

By participating in the Lean and Green Initiative for green logistics, L.I.T. Speditions GmbH in cooperation with L.I.T. Cargo GmbH successfully reduced the greenhouse gas emissions of its own logistics processes by 20 percent. With the Lean and Green 1st Star, GS1 Germany confirms the effective implementation of the measures and the successful audit of greenhouse gas reduction by TÜV NORD CERT GmbH.
»Thanks to a large number of measures, we have achieved the first milestone. Now the journey continues to the 2nd Star!«
Simeon Breuer,
Managing Director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and board member of L.I.T. AG
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES TO THE 2nd STAR
In order to achieve the 2nd Star certification, various mandatory criteria are required. The first mandatory criterion is the implementation of a cooperation or innovation project with a clear reference to logistics. As a result, CO2 savings of at least 10% based on the respective project scope have to be achieved. The implementation of a social project is required as part of the second mandatory criterion. In addition, a reduction in CO2 emissions by a further 10% with a simultaneous expansion of the scope from 50% to 65% must be proven.
