L.I.T. PROVES TEAM SPIRIT ON THE MUD COURSE TOUGH MUDDER

The L.I.T. team regularly puts in a clean performance – albeit not in the literal sense – at the Tough Mudder extreme obstacle course. Colleagues from the Bremen and Brake sites once again threw their inhibitions overboard in 2019 and had a real mud fight at the Severloh farm in Hermannsburg. After the first obstacle it was already clear: the group shirts were pearly white for the longest time. Because it went straight to the point. The team crawled through the mud under barbed wire, jumped into ice-cold muddy water and climbed wooden walls such as the “Berlin Wall” and ramps labelled “Everest”.

Teamwork was at the top of the list. After all, the colleagues would not have successfully overcome all the obstacles on their own. True to the L.I.T. motto: Together to success! So it quickly became a ritual to wait for each other after each hurdle and then get ready for the next station together. Even wheelbarrow driving or piggyback carrying required joint work and the necessary amount of trust in the stability of the colleague.

The reward was a T-shirt, a headband and a cold drink or two. But the best thing was – and everyone agreed on this with a wink – the joint success of having left numerous teams miles behind in the mud. The colleagues have also set themselves this goal for future competitions. “As we had so much fun on the mud course, we’re already considering the three times longer route for next time,” reveals Mark Bruns, who took part in Tough Mudder for the first time in 2019. He hopes that courageous L.I.T. employees will continue to be found for both the long and the 5-kilometre route.

One thing is certain: it’s worth taking part!

"That was a great
team-event. We are already looking forward
to when
we can start
again!«
