L.I.T. DISPLAYS TEAM SPIRIT ON THE TOUGH MUDDER MUD COURSE

The L.I.T. team regularly puts on a clean performance – even if not in the literal sense – on the extreme Tough Mudder obstacle course. Colleagues at the Bremen and Brake sites threw their inhibitions overboard in 2019 once more, and had a real mud-wrestling match at Severloh farm in Hermannsburg. After the first obstacle, it was clear: The group shirts stayed white the longest. Then things really got going. Under barbed wire, the team crawled through the mud, jumped into ice-cold muddy water and climbed wooden walls like the »Berlin Wall« and ramps called »Everest«.

Teamwork was at the top of the agenda. After all, the colleagues would not have successfully overcome all obstacles on their own. Perfect for the L.I.T. motto: Successful together! The ritual of waiting for each other after each obstacle quickly emerged, and then motivating each other for the next station. Driving a wheelbarrow or carrying someone piggyback also meant working together and putting the necessary amount of trust in the colleague’s steadiness.

The reward was a t-shirt, a headband and one or two cool beverages. But the best thing was – and everyone agreed with a wink of the eye – the joint success of having left numerous teams miles behind in the mud. The colleagues have also set themselves this goal for future competitions. »Because we enjoyed the mud course so much, we are already considering doing the triple distance course next time«, reveals Mark Bruns, who participated in Tough Mudder for the first time in 2019. He hopes that he will continue to find brave L.I.T. staff for both the long and the 5-kilometre course.

One thing is certain: It is worth taking part!

»It was a great
team event. We are already
looking forward
to taking part
again!«
