START OF TRAINING FOR 41 YOUNG TALENTS

START OF TRAINING FOR 41 YOUNG TALENTS

Brake, 01.09.2026

The training year begins at L.I.T. Gruppe with 41 new young professionals. Almost half of the new starters are beginning an apprenticeship as forwarding and logistics services clerks. The new intake of apprentices also includes clerks for office management, warehouse logistics specialists, warehouse operators, professional drivers, and IT specialists for application development and system integration. To get started, all apprentices go through a two-day induction program at the company headquarters in Brake.

"For 41 young people, a new chapter in their lives begins with us on September 1st," says Julian Derst, Head of Education and Training at L.I.T. Gruppe. It is important to the company to support the new starters personally. "This allows our new colleagues to settle in well and quickly take on real responsibility within our teams," says Derst. The concept has proven successful: "We want to develop our young talent from within our own ranks in the long term and offer them attractive professional and personal prospects even after they graduate."

To welcome them at the headquarters in Brake, the L.I.T. executive board, together with Nele Grenzebach, Melanie Kalla, and Julian Derst from the training team, welcomed the new intake and gave the young professionals their first insights into L.I.T. Gruppe. During the rest of the induction, the new starters learned about important structures, key contacts, and the basics for their everyday work.

Award-winning training concept starts again

After that, the content-related program of the two induction days began: The first day focused on getting to know each other personally. Apprentices from the third year of training actively helped shape the "Welcome Day" and accompanied the new intake during ice-breaking activities and shared insights into the company. On the second day, an IT training session, information about the apprenticeship, and the "Starting safely in everyday professional life" training prepared the apprentices for their first weeks at L.I.T. After the joint kick-off, the young professionals will be distributed across 18 of the logistics company's more than 100 locations. "We receive positive feedback from our apprentices regarding this welcome concept," reports Derst. And that is not all: This year, L.I.T. Gruppe received the "TOP Ausbildung 2026" seal from the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for the third time in a row for its outstanding training quality.

Uniform start of training on September 1st

For the first time, training starts uniformly at all locations of the logistics company on September 1st. As a result, all teams in the specialist departments are on-site from the first day, enabling them to provide reliable support to the new starters from the very beginning. The mentoring program will be continued: Every new young professional is assigned an experienced contact person from a higher year of training for their first few months at the training site.

Significantly more applications for apprenticeship positions

In the 2025/2026 application phase, the response to the apprenticeship offer increased significantly: In the period from August 2025 to August 2026, the number of applications from Germany doubled compared to the comparable period of the previous year. Currently, a total of 114 future specialists are completing their training at L.I.T. Gruppe.

Applications for advertised apprenticeship positions are still welcome for this year and next year. Joining the current year is still possible depending on the apprenticeship profession and location; at the same time, the application phase for the coming year is already underway.
