L.I.T. PROVES TEAM SPIRIT AT THE TOUGH MUDDER MUD COURSE
A clean performance – albeit not in the literal sense – is something the L.I.T. team demonstrates regularly at the extreme obstacle course Tough Mudder. In 2019, colleagues from the Bremen and Brake locations once again threw their inhibitions overboard and engaged in a real mud battle at Hof Severloh in Hermannsburg. It was clear after the very first obstacle: the group shirts would not remain pearly white for long. Because things got down to business immediately. The team crawled through the mud under barbed wire, jumped into ice-cold muddy water, and climbed wooden walls like the "Berlin Wall" and ramps titled "Everest".
Teamwork was the top priority. After all, the colleagues would not have been able to overcome all the obstacles successfully on their own. True to the L.I.T. Gruppe motto: Together to success! It quickly developed into a ritual to wait for one another after every hurdle and then commit to the next station together. Wheelbarrow races or piggyback carries also required working together and the necessary amount of trust in the stability of one's colleagues.
The reward was a T-shirt, a headband, and the occasional cold drink. But the best part – and everyone was in winking agreement on this – was the shared success of having left numerous teams miles behind in the mud. The colleagues have set this goal for future competitions as well. "Since we enjoyed the mud course so much, we are already eyeing the route three times as long for next time," reveals Mark Bruns, who participated in Tough Mudder for the first time in 2019. He hopes that courageous L.I.T. employees will continue to be found for both the long and the 5-kilometer routes.
One thing is certain: it is worth participating!
