The L.I.T. Group has acquired the long-established Italian company AUTOTRASPORTI PEDOT S.R.L., based in Lavis (Trentino-Alto Adige). With retroactive effect from January 1, 2024, the Brake-based logistics service provider is expanding its portfolio with this step and, in addition to its own rail-capable trailer fleet, also offers road transport within Italy. By expanding its international and intermodal expertise in this way, L.I.T. is strengthening its growth strategy and offering sustainably stable transport capacities on an important corridor. PEDOT will continue to operate as an independent brand in Italy. Stefano Pedot will remain active as Managing Director.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“With PEDOT, we are specifically intensifying our activities in Italy, drawing on local expertise and an extensive customer network. We are combining our strengths and can thus offer intermodal transportation between Italy and Benelux as well as Germany from a single source,\u201d says Klaas Lange, Business Development at L.I.T. Speditions GmbH. By taking over the traditional brand AUTOTRASPORTI PEDOT S.R.L., headquartered in Lavis (Trentino-Alto Adige), L.I.T. is taking a further step towards its own intermodal transport network in Europe. “Combined transport requires certain volumes in order to be economical. Together with PEDOT, we can now consolidate these even more effectively, so that both parties benefit enormously,\u201d says Lange. In addition to full loads, PEDOT also offers its customers the handling of partial loads and warehousing services at the Lavis site.<\/p>\n

Until now, the logistics service provider from Brake has worked with other partners in Italy. Thanks to the takeover, the logistics company from Brake now has an established brand with its own fleet and EU license and can therefore also offer domestic road transport within Italy in addition to classic terminal trucking. In return, PEDOT benefits from the additional import volumes to Italy from the L.I.T. network. “Both parties can work more profitably and use mutual synergies to offer our customers even more targeted solutions. We have deliberately designed our structures in such a way that we do not cannibalize each other, but complement each other effectively,\u201d says Lange.<\/p>\n

AUTOTRASPORTI PEDOT S.R.L. has been active on the Italian market since 1939. The family business is managed by Stefano Pedot, the third generation after the founder Eugenio, and his daughter Lucia, who is still a shareholder. In addition to its own fleet, PEDOT also focuses on intermodal transport. Stefano Pedot says: \u201cWe are delighted to have found a renowned and strong partner in L.I.T., which has the necessary expertise and resources to successfully handle climate-friendly combined transport in Europe in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
