What made you apply for the job at the \u00bbTraileryard\u00ab project?
<\/strong>Nicole Hayen:<\/strong> To be honest, the fantastic project appealed to me straight away. I spent a whole weekend thinking about whether I would do it or not. One big motivation was definitely the opportunity to help shape and drive a project from the ground up. After 28 years with the company, this opportunity offered me the chance to experience again exactly where my journey at L.I.T. once began.<\/p>\n

What was your time in Hamburg like and what were your responsibilities there?
<\/strong>Hayen<\/strong>: I was mainly responsible for organising the logistics of incoming and outgoing goods of the car manufacturer via rail to the plants in Stuttgart and Sebes (Romania), based on orders. I also had to make sure that there were always enough empties for the production of drive axles at the plant in Hamburg. Liaising with the drivers was very important.<\/p>\n

Were there any particular challenges for you during the project?
<\/strong>Hayen<\/strong>: The challenge was to get to know a completely new programme with all its pitfalls and the customer’s requirements. Or perhaps riding my \u00bbjob bike\u00ab twelve kilometres to work every day in all weathers. (laughs)<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Did you experience any exciting things outside of work in Hamburg?
<\/strong>Hayen:<\/strong> My time in Hamburg was fascinating overall, especially as life in a big city is often underestimated when you come from a village. What I particularly enjoyed was working closely with a great team that always stuck together throughout the project.<\/p>\n

Any advice for people who want to try something new
<\/strong>Hayen<\/strong>: If you have the chance to get a taste of other areas or get out of your comfort zone, just do it. The experience you gain is priceless and will really help you progress, both in your job and personally.<\/p>\n
