The air and sea freight sector is booming. And this can be clearly seen in our business turnover, which has more than quadrupled in the last four years. With the new branches of our L.I.T. Air & Sea GmbH in the Hanseatic metropolis, we are positioning ourselves in the best location to manage our transport services centrally. In this way, we ensure that we can respond even more specifically to the major challenges on the market and at the same time further develop the transport services for our customers.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Full freight ahead at the logistics hotspot of the north<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

Air & Sea’s growth spurt is not only reflected in the figures, but can now be seen twice in Hamburg. While the “Sea Freight” department opens its headquarters under the management of Thomas Behneke at the Elbe bridges, the Air Freight division with location manager Philipp Penkwitt moves into its office in the Hamburg Airport Cargo Centre (HACC). We now employ 37 colleagues at a total of five branches in our division: in Barcelona, Bremen, Herford and the Elbe metropolis.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Off to the railway<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

In the course of our expansion, we have extended our service portfolio. We not only offer air and sea freight transport services, but now also overland transport via the Silk Road to and from China. In view of the container congestion at international ports, we are creating a real alternative to sea freight, as the train connection transports goods without delay and with fast delivery times. The costs have also almost been relativised compared to sea freight.<\/p>\n

\n What does L.I.T. Air & Sea GmbH do?<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The division was integrated in 2018 as part of the acquisition of the CLI Group and offers our customers a comprehensive portfolio: From standard air freight shipments to ad hoc charter flights and on-board courier services to hazardous goods deliveries. To do this, we rely on our international network of partner freight forwarders in the respective airports and seaports. Our colleagues also take care of additional services such as goods consolidation, transport insurance and customs clearance. And now, due to the high demand, even more than before, confirms Michael Borowski, our Operations Manager at L.I.T Air & Sea GmbH: “Thanks to the connection to shipping, air and rail transport in Hamburg, we are even better positioned and can fulfil our high order volume in the best possible way.”<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
