\n We are bundling our logistics expertise in the automotive sector under the umbrella of a new company. In future, we will be concentrating our services as a contract logistics provider for leading automotive suppliers and OEMs in L.I.T. Automotive Solutions GmbH. The service portfolio is specifically focussed on sequencing and assembly – picking, storage and shipping preparations are also part of the range of services. L.I.T. Automotive Solutions GmbH currently has six national sites, most of which are located in the immediate vicinity of production. Claas Durach was appointed Managing Director. We opened our most recent location in Bremen in January, where 9.000 rack spaces are available for sequencing and aftermarket projects on 4.500 square metres. Malte Inderhees was appointed interim site manager. <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

Transport services for the automotive industry will continue to be organised and managed by L.I.T. Speditions GmbH. “Both business areas maintain a close dialogue with each other, we are generating even greater market access and were able to successfully complete the first joint project after just a short time. The bundling of transport and logistics expertise within one group of companies is perceived very positively by our customers”, says Kai Wullbrandt from the management of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH, who is responsible for the automotive and beverage logistics divisions, among others.<\/p>\n

\n Proximity to customers as a decisive factor<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

“As an established logistics service provider, we have been closely integrated into the value chains of our automotive customers for many years. It was therefore a logical step for us to bundle our automotive logistics expertise in a separate company in order to offer our customers even more customised solutions and leverage synergies”, says Simeon Breuer, Managing Director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and member of our Executive Board. The new company focuses in particular on sequencing and assembly as well as the aftermarket business for well-known automotive manufacturers and suppliers in Eisenach, Kassel, Zwickau, Brake and Leipzig and – since January – also in Bremen. Thanks to its close proximity to customers and clients, the team led by Managing Director Claas Durach is able to realise just-in-sequence projects and assemblies and respond to customers’ requests for changes at short notice. Durach comments: “We believe that the automotive sector will stabilise in the coming months and want to offer our customers reliable and sustainable solutions.”<\/p>\n

However, the ongoing shortage of skilled labour was not an issue for Automotive Solutions GmbH when putting together a powerful team. “It pays off that we have been able to successfully rely on our own recruiting within L.I.T. for years and are not exclusively dependent on external service providers to realise our growth targets”, says the Managing Director. Around 300 employees work for Automotive Solutions and its subsidiaries across all locations.<\/p>\n

\n Further diversification planned<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

In addition to its current locations in the north and east of Germany, our new company will also focus on the centre and south of the country. “We are planning to diversify further in order to be able to offer OEMs and suppliers even more customised solutions from a single source”, announces Durach.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
