The L.I.T. Group has acquired the G\u00fcbau Group, based in Wolfsburg and Velbert, with retroactive effect from 1 January 2023. In addition to the two companies G\u00fcbau Logistics and G\u00fcbau Service GmbH, the subsidiary Vetra Spedition GmbH is now also part of our group of companies. With this acquisition, we are pursuing our growth strategy, strengthening our market presence in the automotive and hazardous goods sectors and further diversifying our expertise. Martin M\u00f6hrmann will remain Managing Director of the G\u00fcbau Group and all 150 employees will continue to be employed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The G\u00fcbau Group is an absolute expert in the automotive and chemical industry. We see several synergy effects in the automotive sector and a strengthening of hazardous goods expertise in the Rhine\/Ruhr metropolitan region as a result of the takeover”, says Simeon Breuer, Managing Director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and member of the Executive Board of L.I.T. AG. The logistics expert’s brand will continue to exist after the takeover. G\u00fcbau remains an independent unit within L.I.T. with a fleet of 40 towing units, 35 trailers and 150 employees.<\/p>\n

We have already successfully completed projects together in the past. “Through our membership of the ELVIS forwarding association, we know each other well and have worked together on automobile transport. We are now looking forward to intensifying this collaboration and pooling our strengths”, says Breuer.<\/p>\n

The G\u00fcbau Group was founded 75 years ago and has its headquarters in Wolfsburg. The long-established company also has two other locations – one in Baden-Baden and one in Velbert. The portfolio includes services in the areas of procurement and warehouse logistics as well as distribution and IT services. G\u00fcbau Logistics has been working for a well-known car manufacturer since the 1950s.<\/p>\n

Martin M\u00f6hrmann, Managing Director of the G\u00fcbau Group, says: “We are convinced that we have found a strong partner for the future of our company and our employees in the L.I.T. Group.
