With effect from March 2021, B-LOG Bulk Logistik GmbH has taken over the business operations of the insolvent forwarding company Diedrich Meyer GmbH & Co. KG has been taken over. With this acquisition, the joint venture between the Brake-based L.I.T. Group and the harbour logistics company J. M\u00dcLLER Weser GmbH & Co. KG is not only rescuing a traditional Bremen company, but also expanding its own range of services. The pooling of resources in port logistics for green coffee with transport and contract logistics will enable B-LOG to offer all relevant services from a single source in future. All employees of Spedition Diedrich Meyer are taken on.<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

“With the joint venture and the takeover, we are playing the full range of coffee logistics and are pursuing the goal of becoming one of the most important players on the Bremen market,” says Ingo Schreiber, Managing Director of L.I.T. Cargo GmbH and CEO of L.I.T. AG.

Founded in 1897, the forwarding company Diedrich Meyer specialises in container transport and electric tipper chassis. In the area of local and long-distance transport, these were most recently illustrated with container and bulk goods transport. In addition, the fifth-generation family business in Bremen also offered the storage and unloading of overseas containers or palletised goods in open-air warehouses. “The range of services fits B-LOG 100 per cent and complements our portfolio perfectly. From now on, we will cover all coffee logistics services from a single source,” says Managing Director of B-LOG Bulk Logistik GmbH Matthias Seidel.<\/p>\n \n\n

Due to liquidity problems caused by declining sales and payment delays as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the forwarding company Diedrich Meyer filed for insolvency in December 2020. The current 22-strong staff of Spedition Diedrich Meyer will be taken over.<\/p>\n \n\n <\/div>\n \n\n <\/div>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
