L.I.T. ACQUIRES KOMBI FRACHT GMBH

EXPANSION OF SERVICE PORTFOLIO AND STRENGTHENING OF THE NETWORK

L.I.T. Board Member Ingo Schreiber (r.) and Michael Henschel, Managing Director of Kombi Fracht GmbH, are pleased about the successful acquisition.
Brake / Groß Ippener, 1. September 2025

As of July 1, 2025, the internationally active L.I.T. Group acquired Kombi Fracht GmbH, based in Groß Ippener. By integrating this logistics service provider, specialized in system transport, cross-traffic, LTL, FTL, and warehouse logistics, the logistics company from Brake expands its range of services and strengthens its regional presence in Northern Germany.

»With the acquisition of Kombi Fracht, we are closing an important gap in our portfolio. In particular, the long-standing and stable customer base of Kombi Fracht is a great asset for us, as it complements our existing network in a meaningful way. This enables us to further expand our market position and provide our customers with even more tailored solutions,« emphasizes Ingo Schreiber, Member of the Board of the L.I.T. Group.

GROSS IPPENER SITE REMAINS – STAFF FULLY INTEGRATED

Kombi Fracht’s headquarters are located in Groß Ippener, conveniently situated directly on the A1 motorway and only about 25 kilometers from Bremen’s freight transport center (GVZ). In addition to the location, the warehouse logistics will also be fully integrated into the L.I.T. Group’s service portfolio. In total, 15 administrative employees and around 90 drivers were taken over. At the same time, Kombi Fracht was equipped with 28 new DAF trucks as part of the takeover, renewing the fleet.

Kombi Fracht’s previous Managing Director, Michael Henschel, will continue to lead the company after the acquisition. The established brand Kombi Fracht will remain and continue to operate independently on the market. Michael Henschel sees the acquisition as an important strategic step:

»We are pleased to be able to continue offering our customers the usual service and reliable partnership as part of the L.I.T. Group. At the same time, being part of a strong corporate group opens up new opportunities to further develop our business and provide additional services to our customers.«

CONTINUOUS EXPANSION OF THE LOGISTICS NETWORK

With the acquisition of Kombi Fracht, the L.I.T. Group is consistently pursuing its growth strategy in the cargo segment and is further expanding its expertise in key service areas such as system transport and warehouse logistics. For customers, this means: even more flexibility, increased capacities, and reliable solutions from a single source.
